2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Name: the name you enter during onboarding, used to personalize your experience and the plans generated for you.
• Profile details: your year of birth and gender, provided during onboarding, used to tailor the plans and experience to you.
• User content: the dreams, goals, and reflections you submit (by typing or by voice). This content is stored to power your roadmap and is processed by third-party AI providers to generate your personalized plan.

Voice input (processed on-device): when you use voice input, speech is transcribed to text entirely on your device using the operating system's on-device speech recognition. We do not record, store, transmit, or retain any audio. Only the resulting text is saved and processed as user content described above.

Information collected automatically:

• Identifiers: an account identifier is assigned to associate your data with you.
• Purchase data: subscription and purchase information, processed through our payment provider (RevenueCat), used to manage your access to paid features.
• Usage data: anonymous product-interaction events (such as screen views and paywall interactions) collected through our analytics provider. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other apps or services.
• Approximate location: our analytics provider may derive a coarse, city-level location from your IP address. This is not precise (GPS) location, is not linked to your identity, and is not used to track you across other apps or services.

What we do NOT collect: we do not collect your email address, phone number, physical address, precise location, health data, or financial account details. Payment card details are handled directly by Apple and are never accessible to us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• Generate the personalized plans, reminders, and visualizations you ask the Service to produce.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
• Send you service messages, such as security alerts and product updates.
• Detect and investigate potential violations of our Terms of Use.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
• Analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to improve service quality.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use the dreams or plans you submit to train AI models.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only as necessary to provide the Service or comply with the law:

• AI providers: the text you write — your dreams, goals, and reflections — is sent to and processed by third-party AI providers (independent large-language-model companies) so that artificial intelligence can generate your plans, reminders, and content. We do not control these models, and each provider processes your text under its own privacy policy. As stated above, we do not use your prompts to train AI models.
• Payment provider and app stores: subscription and purchase data is handled by our payment provider (RevenueCat) and the relevant app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) under their own security and compliance standards. Payment card details are handled directly by the app store and are never accessible to us.
• Infrastructure and analytics: we use third-party services for hosting, push notifications, error tracking, and product analytics, which may process data on our behalf under appropriate data-processing agreements.
• Legal compliance: we may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Be Delusional, its users, or the public.

5. Content Safety

In line with our Terms of Use, the Service is not designed for content involving self-harm, harm to others, illegal activity, or anyone under 18. We may process usage data and prompt metadata to detect and investigate potential violations. Where required by law, confirmed violations involving criminal conduct will be reported to relevant authorities.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Upon account closure, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Aggregate, non-identifying usage logs may be retained longer to support our obligations under applicable law.
